Cooking up a steam
The Lemon Tree moves forward into 2015.......We have been at our present location here at The Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre for about two years now; the key to our success has been to build good relationships with customers, some of whom live locally, and some from further afield, all of whom, visit us time and again throughout the year. We are most fortunate to be able to cater for groups and workshops who regularly book the superb Conference Room here at the Centre, so whether it is just an Espresso you require, lunch or an afternoon tea, or a meeting/gathering for any occasion, you will be assured of a warm welcome. We are here throughout the year everyday except Sundays. Keep an eye on our Blog for our popular Quiz Nights and other events during the year, we look forward to greeting you!
The Willow and Wetlands Centre is the home of the Coate Family who have been growing Willows on the Somerset Levels since 1819. Farming, growing and processing Somerset withies and manufacturing a wide range of genuine hand-made basket-ware is a fascinating and interesting business.
Coates English Willow is also home to the renowned Coates Charcoal which is produced right here and exported worldwide.
Jeff the Chef
Not so much a chef as a baker - but it rhymes! Jeff's hobby and love of baking a really good cake just got out of control - but what a way to enjoy my early retirement!
